How to unlock charging port on Cupra Formentor

You got your plug-in hybrid and the first time you will charge it, you will plug it into the charging station, then tap the charge port on the Cupra Formentor as the door opens and you will plug the charging cable in. Usually you still need to perform authorization on the charging station (or maybe you did that before), but now your car is charging. The problem for me was when I was anxious to leave. While the charging was complete, the port in the car did not want to unplug. Cupra Formentor was unlocked, I was looking through the middle console to find something regarding charging and nothing. Then I went to check the YouTube videos and they say it is simple: just unlock the car and the charging port is unlocked. It obviously was not working. After some time I found the reason.
To unlock your Cupra Formentor charging cable after you are done charging you need to unlock your car once more. That means take your key and hit the unlock button even though the car is unlocked. That unlocks the charging cable from the car, and now you can put it back in the trunk and be on your merry way. Remember, you need to basically tap unlock button on the key twice, before you can unplug your charging cable from your Cupra.
