Upgrade from Ubuntu 13.04 to 13.10 causes blank screen after login

Setup is NVIDIA gfx card with NVIDIA drivers. As I have upgraded from Ubuntu 13.04 to 13.10, that is from 3.8 kernel to 3.11 kernel I have found nasty glitch which took me almost 5 hours to figure out and fix. (more...)
